ProCapri Organization

Our Mission

We exist to ensure that Capri Island — one of earth's most extraordinary places — remains extraordinary. For residents. For visitors. For the generations who haven't yet arrived.

Our Mission Statement

"To protect and promote the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and community wellbeing of Capri Island — ensuring its sustainable future for present and future generations."

Who We Are

ProCapri — an independent voice for the island

Founded in 2008 by a group of Capri residents, environmental researchers, and tourism professionals who recognised that the island's growing popularity was outpacing its capacity to absorb change sustainably.

ProCapri is politically independent and funded entirely through membership subscriptions, donations, and non-commercial partnerships. We receive no government subsidy and no revenue from tourism operators — which allows us to speak clearly on behalf of the island's long-term interests.

Over 16 years we have grown from a small local association to an internationally recognised advocacy organisation with members in 34 countries — all united by a shared love of Capri and a commitment to its future.
